Black is the color of the season so switching to an all-black wardrobe makes you look hip. The problem is black on black with goth makeup is getting passe. Sure, the goth girl look was once cutting edge but now, frankly speaking, it looks plain tired.

The solution is to balance your all-black wardrobe with pretty makeup. Colors that make you look pretty without looking as if you tried too hard. Trying too hard to look good can be a major turn off in the eyes of some cute guys. They like women to be themselves.

Not all women look fabulous in black without wearing a smidgen of makeup. Black tends to drain away color. The trick is to go for pretty color. The models in the fashion shows looked fabulous with sheer gold eyeshadow. A look you can get away with. No doubt, those models would look gorgeous barefaced, wearing canvas sacks, but the makeup brought out their beauty even more starkly.

Think radiant, not discosque. What you want is to apply sheer gold eyeshadow lightly over your eyelids to look like you have got a natural glow. Not like you tried to preen yourself at all.
