Do you want to be loved?

God's love

God's love. Bride of the lamb.

Looking for love, but finding disappointment instead.

Does that sound familiar?

Thinking a romantic relationship would last forever, only to be faced with a rude awakening that things aren’t as rosy as they seem.

Jesus met a woman who had been looking for love for a long time.. in all the wrong places.
“The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.” John 4:18

He showed her love. In a culture where Jews stand apart from Samaritans, where women were second class citizens, Jesus, a respected Jewish teacher took the time to talk to a Samaritan woman who had been rejected by her people because of her lifestyle, hence her drawing water at noon when it was too hot for most people to be out in the sun, at the well.

He started the conversation, asking for a drink, which surprised her.
Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”

Love.

Did you know that you are God’s beloved?

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

“I belong to my beloved, and his desire is for me.” Song of Songs 7:10
That book in the bible can make a person blush. What could the celibate monks make out of it?

God’s love for you is likened to a bridegroom’s love for his bride.
As a young man marries a young woman, so will your Builder marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.
Isaiah 62:4-6

He wants you to be his beloved bride. The wedding of the Lamb is for you, His beloved.

Let us rejoice and be glad
and give him glory!
For the wedding of the Lamb has come,
and his bride has made herself ready.
Revelation 19:7

Would you like this to be your final destiny?

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:3-4

The choice is yours.
