Singapore has lost one of her beloved sons.

Dr. Goh Keng Swee has passed away. This afternoon, the entire nation of Singapore observed his public funeral.

This was a man who loved his nation. A public servant who shaped Singapore in so many ways. In defense of our nation. In our education. In our economy.

A man so high up the ranks who still had time for the ordinary person.

Outpourings of love for him, from ordinary people who has at some time or other, interacted with him.

In spite of his hectic schedule serving his country, his love for his grandchildren was made public as a grandchild shared how grandpa sacrificed much needed sleep to care for him.

True greatness comes with love.
