Amazing love
April 6, 2012 No CommentsHe spoke and the world was created.
He shaped man from clay and breathed life into him. He made woman from man and loved them dearly. He fellowshipped with them and all was good. Then man and woman sinned, the punishment of which is death and separation from Him.
Justice had to be served. In his love, the judge paid the price himself so that they need not serve the sentence.

Clouds in the sky
One who was not bound by time and space, bound himself in 33 years of history, stripped himself of his power and immortality and was born as an ordinary baby. He learnt to talk, learned to walk, fell, picked himself up, got hungry, was thirsty, just like any of us.
He lived His life knowing that he was to die in the place of the rest of us, so that we may be reunited with Him.
He was whipped and his flesh was torn from his back with each stroke.
A crown of thorns was placed on His head.
At anytime, just a word from Him and legions of angels would put a stop to this and destroy his tormentors yet He stayed silent.
Nails were driven into his hands and feet as he was nailed to a cross, to die the most humiliating death – the death of the worst of the criminals during that time.
He hung there and bled until it was finished.
His death was from a broken heart.
That is the love of God. That man is Jesus.
For 3 days, 3 nights, he paid the price of death that is our portion. Then on the 3rd day, He arose and left the tomb. He showed Himself to those who loved Him back and then, in front of many witnesses, He was taken up into the heavens, back to His rightful place, beside His Father, our God.å
