Till Death Do Us Part – Pierce Brosnan and Cassandra Harris

In a world where marriages rarely lasted long, Pierce Brosnan and Cassandra Harris shared a marriage that literally lasted till death parted them.

They were married in 1977.

He was (and still is) a thinking woman’s hunk. His appeal went beyond those steely blue eyes.. to what was known about his private life. In spite of his legions of female fans, he did not stray. Pierce loved his wife, Cassie, dearly.

Pierce Brosnan was a heart throb in his role as Remington Steele. While many men less popular then him fell, Pierce stayed with his wife until her untimely death.

On 28 December 1991, she died in his arms, taken from him as she lost her fight against ovarian cancer.

Their’s was a beautiful love story.

He was a starving out of work actor, who snuck into her home for food. She caught him in her kitchen, eating the chicken she had intended to feed her two kids with.

Instead of turning the burglar in, she turned his life around. They fell in love and married.

Her death left him devastated.

Cassie has made me the man that I am, the actor I am, the father I am. She’s forever embedded in every fibre of my being,” he told HELLO! in 1992. “She’s there with me every day. I was so blessed to have met someone like that.”

That is real love.

No doubt, he has since moved on with life, but he did one thing many hollywood hunks seem unable to do. He stayed faithful to his first love as long as they both lived.

Now that’s love.
