The older generation didn't get it so good. They had to apply their moisturizer first. Once that soaked in, they put on the sunblock. (or was it the other way round? Chemical sunblocks need to soak into the skin first to react with the skin in order to provide protection, so wouldn't those go first. Moisturizers need to seep into the skin to the deeper layers if possible, in order to deliver the active ingredients to nourish the skin. Then again, moisturizers could go over the sunblock and act as a sealant and protector, to seal in the moisturizer and to protect the skin from the harsh environment.)
